Diskzy vs DaisyDisk: an honest comparison
DaisyDisk is a long-established visual disk analyzer. It scans internal, external and network disks as well as cloud storage such as Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive and Box, gives a breakdown of the Other and System Data categories, and can find and purge macOS snapshots. It costs $9.99 once for up to 5 personal Macs, runs on macOS 10.13 or newer, and its site says it does not collect or transmit anything.
Diskzy also maps the whole disk, then adds two things DaisyDisk does not present itself as: a Clean up tab that finds caches, logs, Xcode leftovers and project build folders with a reason for each item, and an uninstaller that removes an app together with what it left behind. Diskzy keeps its map current as files change, sends everything it removes to the Trash, and needs macOS 15 or later.
