Diskzy vs Mole: an honest comparison
Mole comes in two forms from the same developer. The Mole CLI is a free, open source terminal tool under GPL-3.0 that cleans, uninstalls, analyzes, optimizes and monitors a Mac. Mole for Mac is a separate native app, $19 once for 2 Macs, that offers cache cleanup, app uninstalling with leftovers, a treemap disk view, maintenance tasks and a live status monitor for CPU, memory, GPU, disk and network. It runs on macOS 14 or later.
Diskzy overlaps on cleanup, uninstalling and the disk map, and differs in emphasis. It has no maintenance tasks or system monitor. Instead it explains System Data part by part, keeps its map current as files change, and sends everything it removes to the Trash, including cleaned caches. It has no terminal version and is not open source.
