Diskzy vs MacKeeper: an honest comparison
MacKeeper describes itself as an all-in-one Mac maintenance app with cleaning, security, optimization and privacy features. Its site lists a cleaner, an uninstaller and a duplicate finder, an optimizer and memory cleaner, antivirus and adware cleaning, a VPN and an ad blocker, plus monitoring for leaks of personal records and a support chat. It is sold as a subscription, with a free plan that limits some features.
Diskzy is a different kind of product. It does one thing, disk space, and has no antivirus, VPN or memory tools. It maps the whole disk, explains what is inside System Data, lists what to clean with a reason for each item, and uninstalls apps with their leftovers. You pay once, there is no account, and everything it removes goes to the Trash.
