Diskzy vs Disk Inventory X: an honest comparison
Disk Inventory X is a long-standing disk usage utility for the Mac. It shows the sizes of files and folders as a treemap, a layout its site says is based on KDirStat. It is free and released under the GPL. The download offered on its site is version 1.3, listed for macOS 10.13 to 10.15.
Diskzy also maps the whole disk, and adds an explanation of what is inside System Data, a Clean up tab that suggests what to remove with a reason for each item, and an uninstaller that removes an app with its leftovers. It is a paid, closed source app for macOS 15 or later, so the two tools largely serve different generations of macOS.
