How to completely uninstall iTerm2 on Mac
Dragging iTerm2 to the Trash removes the app itself, but its support files, caches and settings stay on your Mac. Here is where they are and how to remove all of them.
iTerm2 is small. What matters is the preferences file ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist, which holds your profiles, colours and key bindings, plus scripts in ~/Library/Application Support/iTerm2.
Export your profiles or copy the preferences file if you may come back. If you installed shell integration, remove the line that loads it from your shell startup file (for example ~/.zshrc) and delete the ~/.iterm2_shell_integration files and the ~/.iterm2 folder.
com.googlecode.iterm2Remove iTerm2 by hand
- Quit iTerm2. If it has a menu bar icon or runs in the background, quit that too.
- Open the Applications folder and drag iTerm2 to the Trash.
- In Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder (Shift-Command-G), paste each location below, and move what you find to the Trash. Not every location exists for every version.
- Empty the Trash, then restart your Mac so nothing from iTerm2 is left running.

The quick way
Diskzy finds iTerm2 and the files listed here, shows the size of each one, and moves them to the Trash together. Files that another app also uses are left alone.
