How to completely uninstall Figma on Mac

Dragging Figma to the Trash removes the app itself, but its support files, caches and settings stay on your Mac. Here is where they are and how to remove all of them.

Good to know

Figma files live in your account, so what stays on the Mac is mostly cache and local app data in ~/Library/Application Support/Figma. The desktop app also runs a small helper called Figma Agent that gives Figma access to your local fonts.

Before you start

Open the app while online once so any offline changes sync, then quit Figma and the Figma Agent.

Bundle identifier: com.figma.Desktop

Remove Figma by hand

  1. Quit Figma. If it has a menu bar icon or runs in the background, quit that too.
  2. Open the Applications folder and drag Figma to the Trash.
  3. In Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder (Shift-Command-G), paste each location below, and move what you find to the Trash. Not every location exists for every version.
  4. Empty the Trash, then restart your Mac so nothing from Figma is left running.

The quick way

Diskzy finds Figma and the files listed here, shows the size of each one, and moves them to the Trash together. Files that another app also uses are left alone.
