How to completely uninstall Postman on Mac

Dragging Postman to the Trash removes the app itself, but its support files, caches and settings stay on your Mac. Here is where they are and how to remove all of them.

Good to know

Postman leaves its local data and cache in ~/Library/Application Support/Postman. If you use it signed out, with the lightweight API client, your collections exist only there.

Before you start

Sign in and let your workspaces sync, or export your collections and environments as JSON, before removing the app's data.

Bundle identifier: com.postmanlabs.mac

Remove Postman by hand

  1. Quit Postman. If it has a menu bar icon or runs in the background, quit that too.
  2. Open the Applications folder and drag Postman to the Trash.
  3. In Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder (Shift-Command-G), paste each location below, and move what you find to the Trash. Not every location exists for every version.
  4. Empty the Trash, then restart your Mac so nothing from Postman is left running.

The quick way

Diskzy finds Postman and the files listed here, shows the size of each one, and moves them to the Trash together. Files that another app also uses are left alone.
